I get a lot of compliments on my James Avery jewelry. In fact, I’ll be trying to talk to someone and they’re grabbing my necklace and asking where I got it instead of listening! I thought I would share some of my “family” collection with readers just in case you need something to add to your wish list. I am not receiving any kickbacks from James Avery. I’m just sharing this because of the number of people who have stopped and asked where I got my necklaces and because I love when people share good ideas with me. It saves me search time!
*Sidenote: I am a huge fan of James Avery. I was a big fan in college, then I took a break for some reason, and lately, I wished I hadn’t because I would have a waaaay better collection! In case you didn’t know, James Avery is based in Kerrville, Texas. They have put a James Avery in 43 Dillards stores. I have tried to buy stock in James Avery, but they have not gone public yet. They are still privately owned.
Here are the charms I have:
Click to view on the James Avery site:
Pierced Cross Pendant (has a hammered side and a smooth side)
You can get whatever you wish engraved on the silhouettes. I have name and birthdate. I guess they have changed the silhouette charm since I got mine.
Here are the necklaces I have:
Changeable Charm Circlet Charm
Here are some of the ways I have worn my necklaces:
The birthstones that you see are Waxing Poetic. I am a fan of them as well, but more $$$!! Obviously, my charms need polishing. Wow! The things you notice when you go to create a post.

My Wishlist:
I will definitely be getting the stackable dangle rings. You can get an initial for each family member, your initials, any charm, the possibilities are endless.
I think the look of the twisted link chain is unique.
I would like to find a Mama charm, so I could do a Blessed Mama combo as well. My wishlist is actually super duper long if I get real with you, so I’ll end with these. You can look on the site and probably find some must-haves of your own without a problem.
I hope I have been more of a help than a bad influence! xoxo
Children’s Literature Recommendations
**We average a little over 40 children’s books a week in our household. I will recommend our favorites. Others’ reviews of the books may be read on Amazon. Click the book to see it on the Amazon site. Just know that if we suggest a book, it is up against a lot of books, and we consider it 5 star! You may be able to find these books at your local library or your local bookstore as well. I would like to add that I tend to be persnickety on what my children read as far as subject & language content, so you can rest easy on that!
**Footnote: Your children are never too old to read picture books.
The Uni series is from the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal. In this series, unicorns are the norm and little girls are believed to be the mythical creatures except Uni believes girls are real! The books also include humor. Readers will be coming back for more! In fact, I recommend anything Amy did!

Tip of the Day: When your child starts to get fussy or whiney, either rough house or play chase. Kids are created to use a lot more energy than adults, and if they don’t, their mood shows it! If they don’t want this, chances are -they need sleep!
Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours! Remember to have fun, laugh and give God the glory! I love you! SS
