Declutter Your Home in 21 Days
In 2011, the Journal of Neuroscience published a study on the impact of too many varied objects in a child’s field of view, and the effect it has on their ability to focus. Lack of focus leads to slowed learning in toddlers. Clutter can cause overstimulation. Certainly, if it is left for too long, it gets completely out of hand. For this reason, this infographic from HappyCleans explains how to reduce the amount of clutter in your home in just 21 days. Yet, if you completely follow the decluttering tips, you will get results.
If you think, “I don’t have 21 days!” It doesn’t have to be 21 days in a row.
We all have a bit of clutter, but unfortunately, some people become hoarders with a seeming inability to throw anything out. With this in mind, make sure that doesn’t happen by working through the tips in the infographic.
People tend to store a lot of paper. Whether that is bills, advertisements or random brochures, the reality is 90% can be thrown away or recycled. These take up so much needless space in a home. Other items we tend to horde are magazines and books, and they often do little but gather dust on the shelf. Books are perfect to donate to charities or maybe give them as a gift to families with young children.
